‘Yeah,’ he said, nodding. ‘Sadly.’
‘All right, I’ll just watch TV or something,’ I said, trying to smile. ‘We can do what we were going to do later.’
‘Yeah,’ he said, nodding once again.
‘Yeah,’ I said, heading towards the bedroom.
Chapter Three
I walked into the Trask Building close to eleven thirty.
The Trask Building was forty stories tall with a large spike at the top. The glass glittered in the morning light, the golden doors opening to a large foyer with speckled grey tiles.
I had my key card in my hand as I walked towards the turnstiles, swiping the card as I walked through. I made my way to the elevators and headed up to the fortieth.
We stopped on the thirtieth, which I dreaded because there was always a possibility of seeing my ex-boss Cassandra. I was so thankful that people just got out and I continued up to the fortieth in peace.
I walked to the reception area, which had a semi-circular desk where a black guy named George sat, his head shaved and gleaming from the fluorescent lighting.
‘Hi, George,’ I said with a smile.
‘Miss Fournier,’ he said, nodding.
I walked through the gilded doors that led to the next reception area, which had Jessy’s desk sitting in front of the frosted glass that led into Quinn’s office.
I smiled to her. ‘Hi, Jessy.’
‘Hi,’ she said with a warm smile. She pushed a button on the phone, Quinn’s voice sounding from it.
‘Yes?’
‘Your eleven thirty is here, sir,’ she said.
‘Send her in,’ he said, his voice sounding velvety smooth. My toes curled in delight at the sound of it.
Jessy looked to me and smiled again, signalling for me to walk through the doors behind her. I closed it after me, turning to Quinn, who was already out of his seat and grabbing hold of me and kissing me.
I pulled away from him, laughing. ‘I guess you missed me.’
He looked me over, nodding. ‘Good, you wore a skirt.’
I looked down to the flowery skirt, white with little pink roses patterned on it, cutting off a few inches above my knees. ‘Yeah, I figured you’d want easy access.’
He grabbed my hand, eagerly bringing me into the office’s little lounge. It had a leather couch against the wall, the entertainment system across from it, visible from the office area. He didn’t give me a chance to do much of anything, leaning into me and kissing me, my butt against the arm of the sofa.
His hands went to my skirt, pulling it up and sliding my thong off. I had to admit, his eagerness was sexy, making my sex tingle with anticipation. I knew it was going to be good.
Suddenly, Jessy’s voice sounded from the phone. ‘Mister Quinlan.’
Quinn groaned. ‘You stay here,’ he said. He then bent down and picked up my thong, putting it in the pocket of his black slacks.
‘Hey,’ I said.
‘It’s mine now,’ he said, heading to his desk. He pushed a button. ‘Yes?’
‘Mister Vandermeer is here,’ Jessy’s voice said.
He sighed. ‘All right, send him in.’
It took a few moments, but then the door opened and someone walked into the office.
‘Donald,’ Quinn said. ‘I wasn’t expecting you.’
‘I was just dropping by, seeing how you are. I hear you were away from your desk for a while.’.
‘Yes,’ Quinn said, ‘a little time off, the stress with this deal with Mister Brody. I heard you’re putting in a bid now you’re back from Europe.’
‘Yes, I heard about your little business dealings, thought I would step in,’ Donald replied. ‘I hope I didn’t interrupt you; your secretary mentioned something about you having a lunch meeting.’
I took a deep breath, stepping out of the lounge area.
Donald was tall, as tall as Quinn. He was probably the same age as him as well, definitely giving him rival status, since he was good-looking too, bigger than Quinn. His hair was jet black, cropped short, brushed back from his face, much like how Daniel Brody Jr. wore his. It seemed a popular style among business men.
‘Stephanie,’ Quinn said, a little surprised. He put his hand out, taking mine as I stepped closer, right up against him. ‘Donald Vandermeer, this is Stephanie Fournier.’
‘Hi,’ I said. I was very aware that my panties were in Quinn’s pocket.
Donald’s brown eyes widened a little. ‘You have a woman in your life, I’m surprised. A bachelor no more.’
Quinn nodded. ‘For a while now. You’ve missed a lot in the year you’ve been gone.’
‘I can see that,’ he said, smiling, zoning in on me. ‘It’s a pleasure to meet you. Such a pretty decoration for Quinlan’s arm.’
I smiled politely, nodding. ‘Thank you. How do you know Quinn?’
‘We were business partners,’ Donald said. ‘Fell through, sadly, and now we seem to go after the same business prospects.’
‘Funnily enough,’ Quinn said. ‘I’m sure it will be interesting, you now presenting your own bid to Mister Brody.’
‘I believe he’s holding a dinner party on the sixteenth. Are you attending?’ Donald asked.
‘Ah, that’s why you’re here,’ Quinn said. ‘Yes, we will be attending.’
I pouted a little bit, wanting to say, we will? But I stayed quiet, looking to Donald, who was looking at me.
‘Good,’ he said with a hint of a sinister smile.
Uh-oh, I thought. What was he up to?
‘I’ll leave you to your meeting,’ he said, heading towards the door. ‘I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot of each other in the coming weeks.’
‘I look forward to it,’ Quinn said, sounding pretty serious, though I knew he was being sarcastic.
Donald turned, giving that slimy smile before leaving.
I turned to Quinn. ‘Well, he’s nice.’
He frowned. ‘I didn’t know he was back in town.’
‘When were you going to tell me about this dinner?’ I asked.
‘Tonight,’ he said, walking around his desk. ‘I only got the invitation today.’
He pressed the button on his phone, Jessy’s voice saying, ‘Yes sir?’
‘I don’t want any more disruptions. This is a closed meeting,’ he said.
‘Yes, sir,’ she replied.
He walked back over to me. ‘Now, where were we?’
He put his arms around my waist, pulling me in, kissing my neck. ‘I don’t feel very sexy any more,’ I said.
‘Maybe I can help with that,’ he said, pulling up my skirt.
‘I don’t think so,’ I said, pushing him away. ‘Who exactly was that guy?’
He sighed, sitting on the edge of the desk. ‘Donald Vandermeer.’
‘I got that,’ I said, a little annoyed. ‘I mean, who is he to you?’
‘An ex-business partner. He was there when I made my first multi-million dollar deal,’ he said.
‘When was that?’ I asked.
‘About six years ago,’ he said. ‘I already had money, made successful deals, but this was my first big one. It was the foundation, it set up my empire.’
‘Then he screwed you over?’ I asked.
He nodded. ‘Yeah. We had another deal set up, would have increased our net worth to over fifty million. He went behind my back, offered them a better deal, and got the money.’
‘Jeez,’ I said, frowning. ‘Jerk move.’
He nodded again. ‘Yeah. So, Donald and I haven’t been on the best of terms. It’s a constant battle, who can make more money. So far, he’s winning.’
‘He got a head start though,’ I said. ‘So now he wants Mister Brody’s deal.’
‘And he’ll fight pretty hard to make sure he gets it,’ he said.
‘Not because he wants it though, right?’
‘No,’ he said with a shake of his head. ‘It’s the glory of beating me.’
‘Why was he in Europe?’
&n
bsp; ‘More investments,’ he said, shrugging. ‘I believe his new wife is British.’
‘New wife? I guess he’s had more than one,’ I said.
‘This is the fourth, I think,’ he said, reaching out and pulling me towards him. ‘I don’t understand how he deals with so many ex-wives.’
‘He’s probably trying to one-up you in that department, too,’ I said, smiling as I put my hands on his thighs.
He pushed my jacket out of the way, taking my waist in his hands. ‘And he’s winning. But I have no interest in four ex-wives.’
‘Just the one, right?’ I asked flirtatiously, kissing him.
‘Hmm,’ he said, pushing up my skirt, his hands reaching around and cupping my bare butt.
I pulled away, running my hands up his chest, grabbing hold of his cobalt blue tie, pulling him back into me and kissing him once again.
He smiled, shaking his head. ‘I have half a mind to fuck you on my desk.’
‘I don’t think it could take our weight,’ I said with a giggle, looking to the glass top. ‘Maybe you should get one that’s sturdier.’
‘I just might,’ he said, looking over my face. ‘Have I ever told you you’re beautiful?’
I smiled, shaking my head. ‘Not like that. Mainly you get a certain look in your eyes and I just know.’
‘Hmm,’ he said, nodding as he looked to my chest.
‘What are you thinking about?’ I asked.
‘Nothing,’ he said, shaking his head, kissing at my neck.
‘You know, it’s OK to tell me stuff,’ I said, pushing him away gently. ‘You can tell me what you’re thinking, how you’re feeling. I’m not going to judge. In fact, it’s pretty important in a relationship to tell me what you’re feeling.’
‘It’s not important,’ he said.
I eyed him carefully. ‘I don’t believe you.’
‘It’s not,’ he said, sitting up.
‘Hmm,’ I said, realizing that my response could have been construed as mocking. I smiled. ‘I guess I’ll need another expensive dress for Mister Brody’s dinner.’
He nodded. ‘You’ll need to look exceptionally sexy.’
‘To one-up Donald?’ I asked.
‘Among other things,’ he said, looking to my chest and then my eyes.
I shook my head. ‘Your mind is always in the gutter.’
‘And yours isn’t?’ he asked. ‘Which reminds me, I was in the middle of something before I was rudely interrupted.’
He walked towards me, taking my waist. I could smell his intoxicating cologne; my blood started to simmer. How was I to resist him?
He leaned down, kissing me sensuously, Frenching me like it was nobody’s business. I slipped my hands down to the band of his pants, undoing his belt, then his pants, letting them drop to the floor. I stroked under his dress shirt, up his chest, our lips never parting, even as he shivered under my touch.
I loved how smooth his skin was, knowing that underneath his shirt was his tattooed body, a dirty little secret only I knew about. Well, me and the girls he had banged before me... which could have been a lot, since he used to be all about one-night stands. I never really thought about it. I was his woman now.
I moved my hands down to his stomach, reaching the band of his briefs, hooking my thumbs in them and pulling them down, getting onto my knees in one smooth motion. He wasn’t as hard as I would have liked him, but it was easy for me to stoke the fire, putting my hand on him and stroking him firmly, knowing he liked a little pressure.
His breathing picked up, his cock hardening further with each stroke. He leaned back, his hands resting on the desk behind him. I looked up, giving him a sexy smile before I licked from the base right to the tip, his whole body shuddering. I went for it, taking him into my mouth as far as I could before sucking as I pulled him out. I couldn’t put too much into my mouth because of not only my gag reflex, but also his size. He was a good seven inches. It took a lot to take him in deep.
‘Wait,’ he panted, putting his hands out and helping me to my feet. ‘I need to fuck you.’
He pulled up his pants and briefs, pulling on my hand, taking me into the lounge. He dropped his pants and briefs, sitting down on the couch.
‘Strip,’ he said, stroking himself to keep his erection hard.
I smiled, taking off my jacket and throwing it on the seat beside him. I took off my shirt, readying to take off the skirt, but he stopped me.
‘Leave the skirt on,’ he said, loosening and pulling off his tie. ‘Get on my lap.’
I straddled him, our faces close together. It took a little maneuvering, but I was able to slip him inside, my whole body tingling from a single pulse from my sex.
I was always a little self-conscious being on top, wondering if Quinn was enjoying himself, sometimes finding it hard to find the spot for myself. But the way he was sitting, the way the couch was shaped, it made the tip of his cock rub against my G-spot perfectly, especially when I leaned back a little, which made him gasp.
‘Oh, fuck,’ he said. ‘Do that again.’
I leaned back again as I gave my little thrusts, feeling him go deeper. He held onto my hips, his fingertips digging into my skin, the obvious strain on his face telling me that he was trying to hold on so I could come before he did. It probably didn’t help that I was clenching my muscles, making sure it was as snug as possible around his cock.
‘Wait,’ he said breathlessly. ‘Lie down on the couch.’
I did as he asked, my legs on either side of him as he entered me once again, letting out a moan as he started to thrust, giving three slow ones before he sped up, putting his whole body into it. I started to whimper, to keep as quiet as I could, my face scrunching up as I got lost in the sensations.
He began to buck harder until he let out a drawn out moan, his body rocking until he slowed, collapsing on top of me. His breath was on my neck, sending shivers down my spine. I ran my hand up his neck and into his hair, feeling the best kind of sweat: sex sweat.
‘You didn’t come,’ he said breathlessly.
‘I’m saving myself,’ I said with a smile. ‘Tonight you’re going to use that toy on me.’
He sat up, his arms supporting him. ‘I won’t be able to concentrate on work, thinking about that.’
‘And enjoy every minute of it,’ I said, kissing him.
He pulled away, getting up from the couch slowly. He sat on the edge, taking off his shirt. ‘Smells like sex in here.’
I rubbed my eye. ‘That would be because we just had sex.’
‘I need to shower,’ he said, standing up and making his way towards his executive bathroom. ‘You should join me.’
‘We tried shower sex before, it didn’t work,’ I said tiredly. ‘Besides, I don’t think I’ll be able to walk, never mind stand in a shower. I need a nap.’
‘You can nap there if you like,’ he said.
‘No,’ I said, sitting up slowly. ‘I should get dressed.’
‘Suit yourself,’ he said, as he walked into the bathroom.
‘Suit,’ I said, looking to his pants. I quickly scrambled towards them, pulling my panties out from the pocket. ‘Aha!’
I put them back on, grabbing my shirt and putting it on as well. My hair was a little sweaty, so I tied it up in a ponytail. I then sat down again, my legs feeling like Jell-O.
I waited until the shower stopped, Quinn walking out a few moments later with a towel wrapped around his waist. His hair was dry, obviously only rinsing off the sex.
‘Dinner at home tonight?’ he asked, picking up his pants and briefs from the floor.
I nodded. ‘Yup. Did you make the reservations for Anita and Jack?’
He nodded. ‘Yeah.’
‘That’s good, I guess,’ I mumbled. I stood up as he put on his briefs, tossing the towel on the arm of the couch. ‘Don’t forget your pants.’
‘I’m pretty sure you would appreciate me walking around like this,’ he said, pointing to his briefs.
‘An
d you would like it if I walked around in lingerie,’ I said.
He looked up to me as he put a leg into his pants. ‘Actually, yes.’
‘Whoa, something tells me I gave you an idea,’ I said, grabbing my jacket.
He pulled up his pants, fixing his belt. ‘Maybe. It would be nice to come home to you in lingerie.’
‘You’ve come home to me wearing lingerie plenty of times,’ I said.
‘Yes, but you never wear it for long,’ he said, grabbing his shirt. ‘It’d be sexy to watch you walk around in it.’
‘If you could keep your hands to yourself,’ I said.
‘Yeah, that might be a problem,’ he said, looking around. ‘Where is my tie?’
I looked around as well, finding it stuck down the side of the couch. ‘Here,’ I said, handing it to him.
‘What are you doing for the rest of the day?’ he asked, fixing his tie in a Windsor.
‘I’m thinking of napping, trying to recuperate,’ I said. ‘You have meetings?’
He nodded. ‘A few. I’ll be a little late tonight, most nights this week, trying to catch up on a month lost.’
‘Ah, like all the sex,’ I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. ‘Gotta catch up.’
‘Indeed,’ he said, rubbing my back.
I sighed. ‘I should let you get back to work. I’ll see you at home.’
‘In lingerie?’ he asked.
I tried not to laugh. ‘Maybe. If you’re a good boy.’
‘I can be very good,’ he said, ‘if lingerie is involved.’
‘We’ll see,’ I said with a smirk. ‘OK, I’m gonna go. I’ll see you tonight.’
I made my way out, past Jessy, who gave me a little look... I guess it would be naïve of me to think that she couldn’t hear us, or wonder what we were doing since we hadn’t ordered food the entire time I was there. It made me want to laugh, though my face flushed warm, embarrassed that all my trying seemed to be for naught.
I made my way towards the elevator, preparing to press the button when the doors opened and Cassandra Sloane walked out. Cassandra had been my boss for a year. Things were going well until things started up with Quinn, then, like with Ellie, Cassandra got jealous.
I wasn’t going to give Quinn up, not without a fight.
Then there was the last time I saw her, when I told her she had lost. He was mine. Things were a little awkward every other time that I saw her.
